Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Study App account and data at any time. Deletion is immediate in the app and cannot be undone.

Delete from the app (recommended)

  1. Open Study App and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. You may be asked to sign in with Google again to verify it is you.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email contact@cognitivesquad.com from the Google account you used to sign in, with the subject “Delete my Study App account”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, photo) and sign-in record.
  • Your library: uploaded files, parsed text, covers and offline audio.
  • Bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading positions and preferences.
  • AI results: summaries, quizzes, podcast scripts, figure descriptions and assistant chats.
  • Usage counters and subscription records held by us.

What is kept

  • Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot be linked to you.
  • Purchase records held by Apple or Google under their own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
  • Records we are legally required to retain, for the period required by law.
